Our President's Voice of Reason: From Arrest To Reconciliation

Hey PR Fellows,

I think I'm at the end of my rope with this whole accusation of whether or not President Barack Obama called Cambridge police "stupid" or not. He did not call them stupid, but their actions.

Logically, if you show police officers identification while standing in your home and they arrest you anyway, you may become a little or maybe extremely irrate as well.

At the end of the day though, I just love how the President quickly stepped up to the plate and became the mediator in this highly publicized squabble; a squabble that invloves his friend. We all know that can be difficult. I didn't hear about anyone else seeking to do that. Being a mediator id difficult business. Instead, while others were talking, President Obama was thinking how to not only hold himself, but the other men accountable for their actions.

As Christians, we can learn from these three men agreeing to meet together over beer to squash this issue. In less than a week's time our preident has identfied a problem, contacted the two opposing parties and appointed himself mediator. Great publicity, YES, but a much better Christian operating in the proper technique of reconciliation.

Isn't this what we're supposed to do as opposed to allowing a difference to fester? I don't care if it's over beer, comic books or video games, President Obama is on point-AGAIN.

How Michael Became Addicted to Painkillers?????

Hey Gang,

I have purposely refrained from saying anything about the whole Michael Jackson thing. I was a fan and felt that there was absolutley nothing I could have said to convey my true thoughts.

Thn, today I receive video footage of the most traumatic incidents in Michael's life; the disatrous Pepsi commercial fire. I had always seen the commercial to the point where Michael realizes he's on fire, but then in this video you actually see the burn after he comes off the floor; hoorific!!

The conversation now focuses on this being the time in which Michael became addicted to pain killers.

After looking at the severity of burn (a burned out bald patch in a matter of minutes 2nd-3rd degree burns on his scalp and face), I can seriously see how painful this was. He couldn't stay in the hospital for managed care, I can see how painkillers had to be delivered to him and without proper care, how it got out of control. Was he really addicted for 25 years?

Take a look and share your thoughts.

PR Done Differently - God's Way!

Hey Gang,

Yes, I know it's been a minute since my last blog. I have been crazy busy and extremely excited by what God has allowed us to work on and be apart of. It all started with what I'll call a "career dilemma."

During the month of December, as we're closing out the year and deciding whether to retain the current roster of clients or begin pitching for new ones, I had the urge to pray for the Lord to show me the next move. The recession had some of my collegues running scared, closing down shop, getting fired and seeking strategic partnerships. Many in our industry were frightened. I must admit I was unsure for a brief moment, then reality hit me and I knew I had to maintain my spiritual foundation.

We had terrific clients, but something made me feel as if "newness" was right around the corner. We weren't directed to pitch, so we just waited to see what God had in store.

Remember, although a PR firm, we do things differently. Praying is BIG around here.

Well, before we knew it, we had four (4) new clients and each project required us to up our game on all levels. The funny thing is, we've noticed that previous experiences and projects had prepared us.

Three months into the new year and God has proven just as committed to this firm now as He was when we started nine (9) years ago. I'm so glad, because without His guidance, peace and desire to love on His children I may have turned into a crazed basketcase like many of my collegues.

Swearing in of Our New Change Agent - Presidnt Barack Obama

Hey Gang,

If you had the opportunity to watch any of the Inauguration celebration you must admit, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King would have been proud of President Barack Hussein Obama!!!! He would have been proud to bare witness to his very words coming true. That man stood proud and strong when being sworn in and when giving his speech today. He had no reservatins in his tone and a deserving cocky-ness in his stride. If you noticed, it started as he was walking down the stairs to be seated. He was poised and ever courageous in his stride. I must admit, I could not stop crying. It was all so surreal to me. It still is.

Take a look at the video and share your thoughts.
